CASA is a volunteer organization that empowers everyday citizens to support abused and neglected children through the court process. Advocates devote their time to help make sure that these children have a voice during one of the most difficult times of their lives. Research shows that just one positive adult can dramatically improve the outlook for a child in care.
Utah's Friends of CASA seek to secure public and private donations and other resources to help support and sustain Utah’s Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) volunteer program.
CASAs are an amazing group of volunteers. A CASA becomes a strong voice for at-risk children that find themselves in the “system” because of parental abuse, neglect, and dependency. More importantly, a CASA is a friendly face for a child when they need it most. Help us help kids by supporting the Utah CASA Program.
Utah’s Friends of CASA is led by an all-volunteer Board of Directors. All donations are tax-deductible and 100% support our cause.
"How wonderful it is that nobody need wait a single moment before starting to improve the world."
-Anne Frank
“As a Judge over the last 7 years, I can tell you that it gives me a strong sense of security to know that the children’s cases who have assigned CASAs are being well watched over and that the children have that extra voice to help them navigate a scary and intimidating process.”
JUDGE SHERENE DILLON
"On behalf of the National CASA/GAL Association, I strongly support the Office of Utah CASA Program and the important work that will be done with the funding received. We look forward to our continued partnership with Utah CASA as they advance the CASA mission across the state and make best interest advocacy possible for more children in need."
BLONDEAN JONES, NETWORK ENGAGEMENT OFFICER
"As the Utah CASA Program Administrator, I can’t thank Utah’s Friends of CASA Board enough for their continued support over the last 11 years. They provide much-needed additional funds to support our amazing volunteers in the work they do for children in care across the state of Utah."
